In a highly anticipated event, the Republican Presidential Debate was held on November 8 in Miami, Florida. During this event, the candidates Chris Christie, Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Tim Scott, were each vying for the party’s nomination.
They had the opportunity to present their ideas and engage in discussions on key issues. It was the third primary debate scheduled for the 2024 presidential election.
Firstly, the candidates were questioned about the conflicts in the Middle East and how they can handle the situation better than it is currently being handled.
They all seem extremely eager and prepared to be involved as soon as possible.
The candidates also discussed anti-semitism in our world and how they can fix it. They discussed how these problems affect the American people, such as the protests happening near college campuses. There was a clear concern the candidates had for this issue and they each talked about what they would do differently to prevent these issues from happening.
Another major topic that was discussed was our country’s economy. The candidates passionately conveyed their opinions on our economy and provided solutions they believe to be highly effective during their presidency.
They mainly discussed gas prices, grocery prices, and taxes that are affecting lower and middle-class American families. The economy is very important to voters, so the candidates were sure to make known how they want to better America.
Our country’s borders were also a very big topic of interest in this debate. The Republican party altogether has very strong feelings about our border and the current state it is in. The candidates each portrayed their concern for the number of people entering the United States illegally and the unsafe things, such as harmful drugs, that they claim are brought with them.
The candidates think it is unfair that Americans have to now deal with the result of having open borders. They each want closed and secure borders instituted in their presidency.
Overall, the third Republican Presidential Debate was very intriguing to watch and was somewhat intense in a way. Hearing the candidates passionately voice their opinions in their own ways was truly persuasive and entertaining. It is important to be informed about world issues happening right now and to get to know the possible new faces of our country.
