Patricia Guerra, a 48-year-old Brazilian lawyer, is the 2023 World Tiramisu Champion.

Every October in Piazza dei Signori, Treviso, the Tiramisu World Cup takes place. Many people compete over four days with their delicious recipes. This event is supported by the Veneto Region and Trevisiani nel Mondo.

Only adults can compete, and they can enter either the Original Recipe category or the Creative Recipe category. Mario DeSantis won the latter category this year. 75% of the competitors are women, coming from all around the world. 180 judges take part in judging the first round and only 9 judges, the experts, judge the final.

The competitors who make it past the first 2 days are actually quite fortunate, and obviously very talented.

To make a good tiramisu you need the right ingredients. Lattebusche, Hausbrandt, and Matilde Vicenzi are the companies that supply these delicious ingredients. Lattebusche supplies the mascarpone, Hausbrandt supplies the black coffee, and Matilde Vicenzi supplies the sponge fingers or savoiardi. There are different concepts that the competitors have to include in their tiramisu.

The 2023 Tiramisu World Cup will bring many competitors and spectators to Italy. There will be many delicious tiramisu recipes this year along with many more years to come.
