On December 8th, the Junior class visited the Winter Village at Bryant Park. This day was one of the coldest days we had so far this year, and Bryant Park was packed! When we arrived at around ten o’clock, it was enjoyable and pleasant, yet many vendors were not open yet. As the day went on, it soon became packed with tourists and the streets filled with the busy noise of New Yorkers getting to work. Despite this, the trip was memorable and unforgettable in many ways.

My friends and I began the day by looking at the shops and seeing what we wanted. Many girls bought earmuffs to brace the cold. We then all lined up in front of the huge christmas tree and Mr. Gentile took our pictures, he then hopped onto the ice skating rink and glided around the park.

As we exited each shop one by one the crowds just kept coming and coming, the park soon became crowded and unbearable. At around lunch time we enjoyed a nice lunch indoors to protect ourselves from the frigid temperature.

In our last hour at Bryant Park we sat down with cups of hot chocolate and watched people ice skate. We saw many funny and unforgettable iceskaters, a group of our friends were even filmed by ElizabethEatsNYC, and featured on her TikTok page, truly something we can always laugh about.

Even with the freezing temperatures and large crowd, students still found a way to enjoy the trip. Many girls took photos around the winter decorations, explored Bryant Park, and made countless memories with friends. This trip offered us a break from the classroom and a way to bond together as a grade.
