Kayla Clayton '23
This year is Season 21 on the well known vocal show The Voice. There are 4 coaches this season with them being Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Blake Shelton, and Ariana Grande. This is Arianas’ first season as a coach and so far she’s been handling the pressure really well. If you don’t know, Ariana Grande is an Extremely famous music artist with over 200 million Instagram followers and over 84 million Twitter followers. She is mostly known for her high and iconic ponytails, and for her insane vocals. When she was asked to be a coach on The Voice, she could not pass that opportunity up. Over the past few weeks she has built up an amazing team (Team Ariana) and they’re all so gifted.
Ariana herself has claimed that Bella Denapoli is her favorite on her team so far. Ariana provides the help with vocal technique, range, and an array of other things. By the end of week 2 her team was completely full and she announced that by blessing us with her vocals.
Ariana and the other coaches have an incredible bond. My favorite bond that she has is with Blake Shelton. This is because Blake despises how all the favoritism goes towards her. He claims that he has “no chance” of winning this season because she is so popular. On Ariana’s Instagram she posted a screenshot of her and Blakes’ text messages responding to an article assuming that the producers were going to replace Blake with someone else because of Ariana.
Ariana and Blake have a jokingly love-hate relationship. One minute they’re allies and the next they're going against each other. I also like Ariana and Kelly Clarkson's bond because they both go for the same type of people so everytime that they would turn their chair they would argue and try to talk over each other to get that person to go on their team. They have a really great friendship and I always look forward to watching the episodes to see how they interact.
Arianas’ outfit choices for Season 21 are just wonderful. The blind auditions outfit was truly a work of art. She wore an All black two piece and it was sparkly. She wore heels that were basically taller than her but they were so cute. The outfit she wore for the eliminations was also iconic. It was all pink and it had fringes on the skirt and on the top. Her hair was absolutely beautiful and her makeup was on point. Her shoes were also iconic. Ariana has a great sense of style and I can not wait to see what other outfit choices she has for the rest of the season.
Overall, Ariana is filled with so much energy and she seems so confident this season. When having to eliminate one person in the eliminations she immediately used her save button on Bella Denapoli. She claims that she couldn't let her “Italian sister” go. She felt a special connection with her and it will be so hard if she has to let her go again. I just hope that Ariana will come back next season because she's such an amazing coach and mentor.
