On February 8th, Bad Bunny performed at the annual Superbowl Halftime Show, but there was a unique twist to it. Instead of the usual patriotic flashy shows displaying red, white, and blue, his visuals consisted of the familiar scene of a Hispanic family party. This even included a “sleeping kid”, which serves as a reference to one or two children typically sleeping at Hispanic parties.
The music at the halftime show was vibrant and festive. Bad Bunny sang songs in Spanish, which sparked debate from Americans because past Superbowl shows have hosted English-speaking artists. Some people thought that Bad Bunny’s visuals and songs depicted “anti-American” themes. However, many enjoyed the show, praising it for its message of love. Despite its "controversies," the half-time show resulted in mostly praise from those who saw it and was seen as a success despite its mixed reviews.
