Annalisa Castrogiovanni '23

Gracie Abrams is starting to become a household name since Taylor Swift invited her to open for her sold-out Eras Tour. Abrams is going from playing at local venues for her most adoring fans to stadiums with tens of thousands of people watching.

However, since many fans couldn't score tickets to Taylor's Eras Tour, fans are excited that Gracie Abrams has announced her own tour. On Monday, January 19th, Gracie Abrams announced that she is going on tour for her new album Good Riddance, which will be released on February 24th.

Fans are relieved to have one more personal tour with Gracie Abrams before she skyrockets into stardom after the Eras Tour. Fontbonne student Olivia Lieto '23 said, "As a Gracie Abrams fan, I love seeing how she is making sure to go on her own tour before touring with Taylor Swift. Since she's obviously going to grow during the Eras Tour, she is making sure her fans now have something to say they were fans before."

Gracie Abrams is also trending on TikTok, with many creators posting videos about how relatable her music is. With her songs constantly played on TikTok, a new generation of Gracie Abrams fans are finding her music due to her catchy, but heart-wrenching lyrics.

Fontbonne student and singer Allie Hinz '23 said, "I adore Gracie Abrams' latest release, “Abby.” I love how it's a song I can easily connect with because it's about having someone you care so much about in your life. And it's so cute."

It seems like older Gracie Abrams fans are relieved that the Good Riddance tour is taking place before the Eras Tour because they can show their love for Gracie Abrams before she becomes a big star. However, Gracie Abrams's fans are also proud of her for reaching such a large audience with her lyricism because they know how important it is to have an artist they can relate to.
