Jeremy Renner, the famous Hawkeye from the Avengers, got wounded in a battle between him and his very own snowplow. He experienced a near-death situation that almost took his life away. The actor was only trying to help a family member, but it took a drastic turn. The actor lost so much blood that it almost cost him his life.
On January 1, Jeremy Renner was attempting to help a family member after the vehicle that his family member was driving suddenly became stuck in the snow, unable to keep moving. In Reno, Renner’s home city, three feet of snow fell during a nasty snowstorm the night before. He used his PistenBully, a 14,000-pound snowcat, and he was successfully able to remove it from his driveway. Things began to go downhill after Renner exited his PistenBully and was talking to one of his family members when the snowplow started to roll unexpectedly. When Renner noticed this, he tried jumping back into the PistenBully in order to stop it from moving any further, but unfortunately, he lost this gruesome battle.
Everything turned into a big bloody mess when Renner got pancaked by his own vehicle. In a 911 call obtained by Fox News, Jeremy Renner got “completely crushed” when he was under the snowcat. The actor had difficulty breathing after being crushed almost to death. The 911 call said that he was “bleeding heavily from his head and other unknown injuries.” It got worse because Jeremy Renner’s right side of his chest collapsed and his upper torso got crushed. Many of his neighbors quickly came to help and he had to be airlifted to the hospital in his home city where he had to undergo surgery the next day.
The Hawkeye actor has undergone two surgeries so far and he is in a “critical but stable condition.” The actor has shared a few posts on Instagram from his hospital bed sharing his love and support from all his fans, family, and friends.
A source added that “he is a fighter, and he’s determined to get through this.” He is very thankful for the high praise and support that he is getting through his snowy journey. He is well aware that he could have died out there, but thanks to his family, neighbors, and doctors, he is now getting the proper help he needs in order to recover.
Jeremy Renner was released from the hospital on January 17 and will continue his long road to recovery at home.
