Gianna Franzese '28

Hi! My name is Gianna Franzese, and I am honored to be one of the Junior Editors of the Folio this year! I've been a member of the Folio since Freshman year, and now here I am as a Junior! Looking back, I have grown so much in multiple aspects such as my writing skills, my confidence, and my leadership. When I was a freshman, I remember being so scared, and still searching for myself. Now I have fully found my place here in Fontbonne, and The Folio has been a major part of this journey.

I have always loved to write, between stories, essays, and of course journalism pieces. I would write short stories, come up with book ideas and write chapters, and I have always been a member of the Newspaper Club in my middle school.

I love getting involved in all school activities. I am currently Vice President of Respect Club, President of Art Club, Arts & Music Chairperson for SAC  and a member of Year Book Club, Fontbonne Against Cancer, and Global Citizenship. I'm also a part of Forbonne's newest dance team and participate in dance outside of school as well.

I have always been drawn to writing, so the first club I knew I was going to join after coming to an open house was the Folio. And now, I am honored to become a Junior Editor! I am looking forward to this next year of the Folio and getting to work not only with the Executive Board, but also the Fontbonne community! Cheers to another year of journalism!

Anaiah Fowlkes '28

Hello everyone, I’m Anaiah Fowlkes. I’m a Junior here at Fontbonne, and as a member of Folio for the past two years, I am so excited to be promoted to Junior Editor this year!

As a Freshman looking to make an impact, joining Folio was like second nature to me. I have always been interested in politics and the things happening around me, on both a national and international scale. Additionally, I have always found myself drawn to writing, especially in a journalistic/research-based format.

I am involved in many clubs withi

n the school, including UAB, Respect, Magnify, and SADD. In addition to clubs, I am one of the captains of the Track Team, and run both inside and outside of Fontbonne. In terms of plans for the Folio, I hope that we continue making fun puzzles, informative articles, and fostering both influential & insightful reporting!

I’m looking forward to not only working with the fellow members of the Folio Executive Board, but to interacting with our Fontbonne community as well. Here’s to another great year of journalism!
