The ninth Women's World Cup will be held during the months of July and August in Australia and New Zealand. Nike has presented two different jerseys for the upcoming event.
One is a white jersey with a series of blue colored dots that are meant to represent paint droplets. Nike details that the jerseys are inspired by the art of Jackson Pollock, who was an American artist famous for his work in the abstract expressionist movement.
The abstractness of the jersey is said to represent the spirit in the team, as well as the differences in the dots still being unified, as are the teams. The jersey is paired with navy blue shorts and white socks that feature a black Nike check in the center. The white jerseys will be worn when the USA plays at home.
The second jersey is an all-over royal blue color. Nike claims that this solid color brings a more “traditional welcome” to the World Cup. The USA logo at the top has also been recolored to a more vibrant orange-y red.
Nike has also added knee high blue and black detailed socks with the Nike check in the middle in the same color as the USA logo. These royal blue jerseys are going to be worn when playing away and will be paired with solid royal blue shorts.
Fans are beyond excited for the jerseys to be sold on the market and be able to support their favorite players.
