Fontbonne Hall Academy’s volleyball team celebrated Senior Night with an exciting three set victory. The night was emotional as all six seniors played together for the first and last points of the game.
Fontbonne won the first set, then came back from being down six points to win the second set 25-23, and made another comeback in the third set to win 26-24. The team showed great teamwork and determination until the very end.
Ms. Amato said the night was bittersweet because she had known the seniors since freshman year and watched them grow. She was proud of their work and loved seeing how close the team had become.
The players also shared what volleyball meant to them. Senior Fiona said the team felt like family, while Isabel said she would miss playing with her teammates, and all the memories they made together. Siobhan added she would miss having fun at practices and spending time with her teammates.
Overall Senior Night was a special way to celebrate the seniors and everything they accomplished. Although they are moving on, they will always remember the friendships, teamwork, and memories they made at Fontbonne.
