The well-known pop singer, Rihanna, will headline the halftime show for the 2023 Super Bowl.

Whether you're on top of every NFL game or just cheering for your favorite team, one thing that attracts a huge audience is the annual Super Bowl.

Most people watch the Super Bowl with family and friends, and from behind overflowing amounts of delicious food and being on the edge of your seat. Everyone anticipates the commercials and, of course, the Halftime show.

Over the past 55 years, since the start of the Super Bowl, the Halftime show never disappointed and always kept its viewers entertained.

From a statement by the NFL: “The NFL and Roc Nation confirmed that Rihanna will be Super Bowl LVII's Halftime performer.”

Rihanna was born on February 20, 1988 and was raised in Barbados. Even through the problems she faced in her childhood, she enjoyed listening to Caribbean music, as well as American hip-hop and R&B.

She started singing and won a high school talent show with a rendition of a Mariah Carey song.

Her passion for singing, along with her fashionable appearance, led her to having a successful career.

Performing at the Super Bowl Halftime show isn't just for any singer, but it is a carefully thought-out decision from the Super Bowl producers.

Rihanna, a nine-time Grammy Award winner, said she was “nervous but excited” for this awesome opportunity.

Not only is Rihanna one of the most streamed musicians of all time, but because she is deeply passionate, open about her thoughts and emotions, and is truly authentic, so many people love her as a person and her evolved style of music, which is why she will be a perfect person for the Halftime show.

It’s no secret that the NFL also asked Taylor Swift if she was interested in performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Unfortunately for her and her Swiftie fans, she declined the offer. Swift said she “didn't want to perform until she finished re-recording all of her first six albums." Even though she was ready for stadium shows, she didn’t want to take her time off working on her upcoming songs.

What hits will she sing? What outfit will she rock on the day? We can all agree that we are more than excited and looking forward to what Rihanna, along with the Halftime Show executives, have in store.
