Recently, SZA hit round 2 of her big SOS tour. Her second leg of this tour has 21 shows in North America and 15 shows in Europe. The second leg started in Miami, Florida in mid September, and will end in Phoenix, Arizona, around the end of October.
Her two concert dates in New York took place at the Barclays Center. One falling on October 6th, and the other falling on October 7th. The pop star known for his song “Here With Me,” D4vd, opened her New York shows.
The show started at around 9:15 PM. The show consisted of five acts and featured 26 songs. For the opening she recreated the album cover’s art where she was on top of a diving board in the middle of the ocean. SZA then opened the concert with her song “PSA.” She then transitioned into “Seek & Destroy.”
When she sang “Nobody Gets Me,” she was seen flying over the audience in an orange boat and singing to them. Each song had its own visual and was perfectly made. Her theme for the tour was an out at sea vibe.
In every video you see of her at this concert, she seems truly happy. She had the best energy and knew just how to connect with her audience. She made sure to make the night such a wonderful and unforgettable time for everyone.
People talked about how good of a time they had and how they wished they could go back. When I asked Sophia Russo ‘26 what her favorite part of the concert was she said, “I love how she used raw vocals without autotune. Her props and setups were phenomenal!”
After her shows in New York she posted a new announcement. It detailed how she was thinking of doing an intimate mini tour for her deluxe album. And she joked, saying she would only do the mini tour for the cities with the most energy during her concerts!
