Taylor Swift released dates for her upcoming tour and shook the worlds of over 15 million people. The tour is going to be called The Eras Tour, and it will begin on March 18, 2023 at the State Farm Stadium in Arizona. Due to high demand from the increasingly large fandom she has, Taylor Swift has already added an extra 25 shows to her already rigorous tour schedule.
Though many fans were not able to get tickets after the Ticketmaster presale failed, many hold hope that she will tour again in the future or add more shows. She detailed on Good Morning America that the tour will touch on her music career thus far, highlighting the last 16 years she has spent in the musical spotlight. She has also included mention of the opening acts she will have present at her shows: musicians such as Phoebe Bridgers, Gayle, and Paramore. Swift has worked with singer Phoebe Bridgers on a song called “Nothing New” that was released in 2021 as a part of Red (Taylor’s Version).
Videos are trending of fans putting together their ultimate setlist for her shows, filled with all of their favorite songs and popular classics that most have grown up on. TikTok has become an inspiration sight for those deciding on what to wear, with fans highlighting costumes from music videos from her past eras that some hope will get them spotted by Taylor Nation or her mother, Andrea Swift.
In past concerts, fans have expressed gratitude for the fact that Taylor Nation and Andrea Swift have spotted fans they believe are having fun and embody what it means to be a supporter, and have moved some to pit seats at her concerts.
Other fans have shown pictures of them getting the opportunity to meet Taylor in person after some of her shows. Swift has not toured since her album Lover due to COVID-19 and has since put out three other albums: Folklore (July 2020), Evermore (December 2020), and her newest album Midnights (October 2022). Regardless of pricing and scarcity, fans are both determined and excited to see what Swift will bring to the table with this tour.
