New York City is one of the most popular places to visit during the Christmas season. Of course, it has a variety of attractions all year round, but the most beautiful, magical time has to be Christmas. From ice skating to light shows, there is so much to be done. Here are some of the best events from this 2022 Christmas season.

It’s not just the city that’s popular for its Christmas decorations: Dyker Heights is extremely busy during the holiday season. The Brooklyn neighborhood is known for their extravagant and elaborate Christmas decorations. People take tour buses and go on tour groups just to walk around the neighborhood to see the lights. Popcorn, ice cream, hot chocolate and other treats are sold on almost every corner. During the Christmas season, Dyker is packed and many of the streets become closed off at night due to the sheer amount people. They have many different themed houses with lights covering every inch. Everyone should go see the Dyker Lights once in their life. It's such an easy and great attraction to visit.

Also very popular are Bryant Park and Rockefeller Center. The holiday market in Bryant Park has a lot of interesting things. There are a variety of things to buy for loved ones and lots of places to get tasty treats. One of the favorites among New Yorkers is S’mores N’More which sells amazing hot chocolate with melted marshmallows of your choosing. At Bryant Park there are also many shops where you could buy a variety of things, such as jewelry and winter wear. One of their main attractions is the skating rink in the center of Bryant Park. The prices range from $25-$55, depending on how long you are skating for. You can rent skates, and it is the perfect Christmas experience.

Rockefeller Center is one of the most famous and well-known “must sees” when visiting New York in the holiday season. Leading into the December month they put up a huge Christmas tree in the middle of the city for everyone to see. On the first Tuesday of December the tree lighting ceremony officially kicks off the Christmas season. The tree is displayed behind the ice skating rink, which makes it even more special. You are able to ice skate at Rockefeller, with prices ranging from $11-$73 depending on the day, time, and age. It’s a great skating rink with a beautiful view of the tree. Right off of Rockefeller is the SAKS Fifth Avenue light show which is also a great attraction to see.

New York City is the main attraction for Christmas sights and has the best spirit. These are just some of the many attractions in New York, and there are many more to see and experience. So go visit some of these places!
