As the snow falls

The tides become too cold to swim in

The moon glares over it

Instead of the sun

The darkness of the tides

Has a beauty to it

Unlike the summer shine

It is dark

It is quiet

Waiting for people to love her

For children to play and splash

For everyone to swim and smile

For joy and brightness

I wonder if she sees

The more silent form of admiration

She gets when these times end

Smiling together isn't the only type of love, I promise

Let us be dark and quiet together

A type of peace most don’t recognize

Because as the snow falls

Even her darkness has beauty
