Sofia Sterlacci '25

Bronny James, born on October 6, 2004, is an 18 year-old senior at Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, California. The son of NBA legend Lebron James, Bronny is a four-star point guard/shooting guard and stands at 6 foot 3 inches. He is considered one of the top five point guards in the country, and ranked the number 19 prospect of the class of 2023.

On May 6 2023, Bronny James finally announced his commitment to USC after being offered recruitment from Kentucky, Memphis, Michigan, Ohio State, and Oregon. After much suspense, Bronny James officially announced on his Instagram that he was joining the USC Trojans.

The University of South California potentially has a great team with Boogie Ellis, Isaiah Collier, along with the new addition of Bronny James - they are expected to be one of the hottest college basketball teams in 2024.

Bronny’s dad, the notorious LA Laker Lebron James, has expressed great satisfaction and pride in his son and his decision. He expressed his pride in an interview when he stated, “This is the first of a James gang to go to college, his dad didn’t go to school, his mom didn’t go to college, I think my mom maybe stepped on campus for a little bit.”

The all-time superstar James has a dream that he would love to see happen, even though it would take many hurdles. He has been very vocal about taking great pride in getting to play with his son in the NBA.

Lebron admits that it would be a challenge because of his age, but he would be willing to continue to work on himself physically and mentally in order to have this dream come true.
