My name is Molly Fox, and I am the managerial editor of the Folio. I have held this position since my junior year and am continuing in it through my senior year. My job is to keep the Folio Website organized, up to date, visually pleasing, and showcase all our journalists’ talented writing in an easy, accessible way.
I am the chairperson of Fontbonne’s Student Activity Council, where I make morning announcements and keep the script up to date with all current school news and events. And I hold the position of vice president of the yearbook club, where I am responsible for editing pages, ensuring all classmates are shown throughout the book, and teaching club members how to use the digital media website to create themed pages.
My vision for the school newspaper is to include a wide variety of topics that students at Fontbonne can look to be caught up in what is going on in our school, our world, sports, and pop culture. Our newspaper offers a student-to-student flow of information to gauge others' opinions, as well as see how school events went and reminisce about their successes. It also offers future students a better understanding of our traditions and what they should know going into them in the future, and get them excited for what's to come! Our school newspaper is meant to be a safe haven to express their opinions and publish ideas that they may not have an outlet for otherwise. I plan to continue engaging in such activities throughout my college career to express myself, keep others informed, and excite them for upcoming events through their school newspaper and radio station, as I do now. I look forward to seeing what is to come throughout the year and reading our journalists' reviews, hot-takes, and reports!
