With award shows back to normal, the long-awaited 95th annual Oscars took place on March 12th. Avid viewers of the annual Oscars award show know the importance of having a show-stopping outfit.
Countless reporters make “Best Dressed” lists to share their opinion. These lists become hot topics for debate. This year, Rhianna topped many lists in her Alaïa custom look, showcasing her newly announced pregnancy.
Cara Delevigne walked the red carpet in a dramatic red ballgown made by Elie Saab. Fans of the actress and model were quick to shower Delevigne with affection and admiration on social media over her stunning look.
Although many outfits were showstopping and worth talking about, there are always attendees who don’t meet expectations. Last year, it was British makeup artist Julia Vernon who topped “Worst Dressed” lists.
This year, it was Florence Pugh who was featured in multiple “Worst Dressed” lists wearing Valentino bike shorts under a puffy cut off dress. People were quick to let her know this was the wrong choice.
We can only hope next year's Oscars will showcase better outfits.
