Fontbonne Has a New Guidance Counselor - Ms. Carrozza

Hannah Taiwo '25

Ms. Carrozza is the new 9th and 10th grade counselor at Fontbonne Hall Academy, as well as the year coordinator for the class of 2026. She recently joined the Fontbonne staff for the 2022-23 school year.

Ms. Carrozza went to Brooklyn College for her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She got her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, and a Master of Science in Education degree in school counseling.

She decided to become a counselor because of her desire to help struggling students. Her job at Fontbonne is to create a safe space for students in the school building, where kids can talk to her whenever they just need a fresh breath of air, and to act as someone who will always support them emotionally and physically.

“I think advocating for students is super important, and it is something that I really wanted to assist through my profession’’.

Ms. Carrozza decided to join the faculty at Fontbonne because of her passion for helping young women reach their full potential and pushing them to do great things they couldn't even imagine themselves doing. So working with students in an all-girls school really helps her to fulfill that passion.

“Fontbonne has a very welcoming faculty and the school has a great reputation of being a community.”

We’re all grateful to have a counselor like Ms. Carrozza at our school.
