At Fontbonne Hall Academy, April 25, 2024, was a special day—the annual Art Show lit up the school! Students who poured hours into their art got to show off their masterpieces to everyone. The foyer turned into a gallery after school, where we could stroll around and admire all the cool artwork.
For Fontbonne students who love art, the Art Show is like their Super Bowl—it's their chance to dive deep into what they love. We saw all sorts of art: paintings, sculptures, you name it. Each piece told its own story and showed off the artist's style.
One student who caught our eye was Kelsie Nelson-Osae from the Class of 2026. She shared her thoughts on her paintings with us. "Room Full of Specialties" was inspired by a room she saw in Rome last year. She used oil pastels to bring out all the cool details. Then there's "A Small Part of Home," a watercolor painting that captures a cozy spot in her neighborhood.
Mrs. Frey, our art teacher, was pumped about putting the whole show together. She was thrilled to see her students' artwork on display. As she worked hard to set everything up, Mrs. Frey beamed with pride, knowing she was helping to showcase Fontbonne's creative talent.
The Art Show isn’t just about art—it’s about bringing our school community together and celebrating what makes us unique. As the day ended, we left feeling inspired to keep exploring our creative sides and sharing our stories with the world.
