This past month, Fontbonne’s Magnify club held a coat drive for those in need. In the photo above our Magnify club girls are seen organizing, folding, and bagging up the coats for Saint Mary’s to pick up. I spoke with Magnify leader, Ms. Connolly about her purpose for the coat drive and talked with her more about Magnify. Here's what she shared.

The coat drive has been an event at Fontbonne for many years, except during Covid when they were unable to hold the drive. Ms. Connolly shares that Magnify holds the coat drive for families in need. This year, a total of 53 coats were donated, some of which were bought specifically for the drive. Ms. Connolly also shares that the coats collected are donated to homeless shelters and St. Mary’s in Brooklyn.

Saint Mary’s is an organization known for providing clothing for all in need and they help give back to the community. Our Magnify club is thrilled to once again bring this great cause back.

Ms. Connolly shares that she loves to do the coat drive and can’t wait to do more. One final quote from Ms. Connolly is “Once again, Bonnies have proven to generously care for the ‘dear neighbor,’ which is so much a part of the CSJ mission!”
