Anastasia Koutsivitis '25 and Emma Berardelli '26
As we turn the page to a school year full of fresh changes and new beginnings, so has The Folio!
Our newspaper is back, better than ever, and ready to make bold headlines.
The Folio has been a Fontbonne time capsule for over 50 years. We strive to capture every moment, story, and voice that makes our school unique. The 2024-2025 year is no exception—our student journalists and editors are ready to give it their all!
Our editing team is especially ready to tackle each month’s issues and articles. With the help of Faculty Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Somma, we’ve promoted long-time and committed members. Let me introduce this amazing team of juniors:
Emma Berardelli (‘26) was one of last year’s Junior Editors, but now she is our paper’s Associate Editor! Having had the privilege of working with her these past three years, I can attest she is more than capable. Emma’s clever ideas and sharp mind are an excellent asset to The Folio, and I know she will bring a bright perspective to the new position. As the Editor-in-Chief’s second-in-command, Emma must help edit articles each month, post on the website, attend meetings, and write story ideas.
Here is a message from Emma to the student journalists and the whole school:
“Hi! I have the absolute pleasure of being The Folio’s Associate Editor. With a new year comes a new opportunity to allow words to take up space and tell stories. In this newspaper, students from each of the four years have an opportunity to tell stories important to them and ensure that all voices in FHA are heard. I look forward to writing, editing, and publishing articles this year in collaboration with the other editors and fellow students. From worldwide stories to school news, The Folio looks forward to covering it all this school year. If you ever have any stories you would like to be included, don’t hesitate to reach out to any of our editors!”
Emma is not the only promoted Junior Editor, as is Molly Fox (‘26), who is now the Managing Editor! Molly has been a committed member of the paper for the past four years, and her talent and passion never cease to amaze me. Her honest opinions and organizational skills make her the perfect student for the job. As Managing Editor, Molly’s role is to help the Editor-in-Chief post articles on our website, contribute story ideas, write stories, and attend meetings.

Tessa Lomoro (‘26) has remained a Junior Editor and is the last of the assistant editing staff. Tessa’s empathy and strong voice are clear throughout her articles and personality. Her unwavering dedication to the paper and stellar writing abilities have allowed her to shine during her time at The Folio. Her job as Junior Editor is to assist in editing articles each month, attend meetings, and provide story ideas.

Last on the editing team is me, Anastasia Koutsivitis, Editor-in-Chief. You’ve made it this far so I won’t bore you with the details, but I will give a small introduction. I am a current senior and have been Associate Editor for the past two years. I am thrilled to be this season’s Editor-in-Chief and get to work with incredible writers and collaborators each month! My greatest hope for the year is to increase reader engagement, mainly through adding more interactive sections like crosswords, word searches, or riddles. I would also love to produce themed issues for more variety each month.
These are just some of the many ideas I have, and on behalf of the editing team and me, we are always open to suggestions. Let’s have a Folio year that’s noteworthy!
